Why does SEO appeal to you so much?

The challenge, of course! Every SEO professional loves challenge and competition. But what I really, really like about SEO is that it doesn’t lie. Some use to be able to cheat and rank well for terms unrelated to their pages. This age is over: you now rank well because your pages are about that subject. And this all leads to conversion…

When you are not up to your elbows in keywords what do you do?

I like to read a lot, mainly politics and sociology. I nearly entered diplomacy at Uni! Apart from that, I love to play musical quizzes with my friends: always great laughs. And I kind of begun wakeboarding… Kind of. Boarding is fine; trouble actually being the wake.

Three things that make you tick?

Spending time with my lovely partner. Playing with my dog. Sailing.

Favourite food?

Love everything that goes into an oven! But I would probably go for ‘Chicons au gratin’, white witloof, ham, Bechamel sauce and grated cheese… in the oven, of course. Goes extremely well with a Duvel.

If you could host a dinner with any three people, who would you choose and why?

Apart from my partner, family and friends? I would pick Thom Yorke, because I absolutely love his work; Charlie Kauffman, which movie scenarios are absolutely brilliant; and Chuck Palahniuk. Love the creative and nihilist aspects of his books.

If given the chance to skip work for a day, how would you spend the entire day?

All of the above! Or maybe play petanque with my friends, sipping a Pastis, and have a big BBQ on the beach at the end of the day.
