What does SEO mean to you?
SEO appeals because of its importance to any website. Why? Would it be important to you if customers were not able to find your phone number, or your business address? There’s no point having a great website and no one knows it exists. Not many businesses can survive very long if potential customers cannot easily locate their websites.

Why does SEO appeal to you so much?
SEO is challenging because it keeps me on my toes - I’m always learning new things and I read SEO blogs regularly to keep updated with the latest changes in Search Engine algorithms. It is also rewarding at the same time because Search Engine Optimisation can really help out a struggling small business improve its Search Engine ranking and thus increase its online revenue and that is personally very satisfying. 

When you are not up to your elbows in keywords what do you do?
I love motorbike riding, playing pool (8-ball & 9-ball), poker, chess, and reading technical books about web programming and web technologies to keep my knowledge base up to date.

Three things that make you tick?
My three passions in life are going to the gym, cruising along Frankston, St Kilda or Mordialloc beaches, and listening to jazz (bossa nova, pop jazz, smooth jazz or acoustic jazz).

Favourite food?
I love Italian food such as spaghetti & pizza, also spicy food like Thai and Korean food. I have a Vietnamese background and love Vietnamese food but I’ve eaten it for eighteen years straight and it’s great to have such a variety of food to choose from in the culinary capital of Melbourne.

If you could host a dinner with any three people, who would you choose and why?
Aaron Wall, Matt Cutts & Eli Goodman ... I read their blogs every day. It would be such honour to sit down with them in a table and learn from their experiences.

If given the chance to skip work for a day, how would you spend the entire day?
If I had the chance to skip work for a day, I would switch off my mobile and hop on the motorbike and ride to the Melbourne countryside which is about 60 or 70kms away from the Melbourne CBD. Riding side by side with nature on a quiet stretch of road is a great way to escape from the city and regroup after a busy week at work.
