Choosing the best SEO company can be a bit of a mystery to many so here at SEO Works we felt that there had to be a way to make it easier for clients interested in SEO service providers to make an informed decision...you know...the old "apples versus apples" comparison. We figured that one of the best tests of an SEO company was how well each company did with the Search Engine Optimisation of their own websites...after all, keyword phrases related to SEO and Search engine Optimisation have to be among the most competitive in the world...a pretty good test of any SEO company's abilities is how often their own site appears in the Search Engine results.Follow our methodology below (as we have tried to keep some semblance of impartiality and independence) and then check out the list of the Top 25 SEO companies further down the page...
Using the Google Keywords Tool, our preferred keyword research tool, we identified the TOP 10 keyword phrases related to both "SEO" and "Search Engine Optimisation" plus added some key geographic qualifiers - these keyword phrases are:

We then loaded these keywords into Caphyon's Advanced Web Ranking software and ran an AWR Report for the top 25 sites in Google for each keyword phrase. Why 25? Based on current research 95% of searchers stop after the third page of the Search Engine's results...we wanted to provide a reasonable opportunity for each SEO firm to appear across a range of keywords.The SEO companies list results were particularly interesting. Two clear leaders, then not much difference between the rest.
